How to Prevent Colon Cancer and Other Colon Problems

The are more than 100,000 new cases of colon cancer every year in the United States. This cancer is aggressive and scary but is preventable! So, how can you reduce the risk of colon cancer?


Pain from colon related problems is usually irradiated to the whole abdominal area and it is difficult to recognize.

CAUSES


Colon Cancer and other colon problems are causing more and more deaths in the world; for this reason, it is important to attend to the warning signs and symptoms of your body. More than 89% of Colon Cancer begin as small, noncancerous mass in the colon called polyps. Polyps are clumps attached to the wall of the colon. They are common during pregnancy and the risk increases if you:


  • You are 60 years old or older

  • Have bad digestion

  • Have an unhealthy diet

  • Are overweight

  • Have type 2 diabetes

  • You do not work out

  • You over-stress


Studies of large number of people have shown that a high fat-low fiber diet, increase the risk of colon cancer. Having an unhealthy diet is believe to be the reason #1 of the appearance of polyps, ulceration colitis and other diseases. To prevent cancer you can start avoiding seasonings, fats, spicy, alcohol and processed food which the reason that lead to the development of inflammatory and degenerative diseases in the colon and the digestive system.
